Claire and her team have helped me so much over the years with lymphodema and breast cancer recovery. Each session is a personalised session depending on where I am up to and what is going on with my body. It is a truly tailor made experience.

I attend a semi-private session every Saturday morning with Clare Gunther, Trudi and the team. The sessions are fantastic - you get a good workout tailored to addressing your body’s issues in a friendly and positive environment, where everyone feels included. I love it because it troubleshoots... problem areas and I feel great by the end. I’ve done Pilates at a few places and this is by far the best. Lots of class options too.read more

I have been attending mat classes since 2018. So lucky to find a lovely welcoming pilates studio where you are more important than what you wear and age is ignored. The instructors are friendly and offer a variety of routines so you can find what suits you. I have definitely improved my posture and... core fitness and strengthened areas of weakness, including improving my walking style, balance, and flexibility. All very important at my age. Before starting pilates I was spending a fortune on physio and osteo. Now I spend less, and get fit and enjoy social connections as well.read more

Pilates Can, can and does! I’ve attended weekly mat sessions since 2011. Classes are conducted by reliable and experienced trainers. The sessions have small group numbers so each participant is monitored whether attending in-person or remotely. At the start of each session attendees are invited to... raise any issues they have. The focus of the session is then adapted, if necessary, to address issues identified by participants. It is an understatement to say I am a fan. My ongoing mobility, flexibility and core strength are a testament to Pilates Can and Claire in particular - although all instructors who have substituted for Claire when she is on leave etc have been terrific. If you have tried Pilates elsewhere but it didn’t ‘do it’ for you, I urge you to give Pilates Can a trial run. In my experience, when taught well pilates is a fantastic adjunct to any fitness program or a stand-alone effective form of exercise. Pilates Can does it very well!read more

For more than 2 years I thoroughly enjoyed my weekly semi-private classes at PilatesCanManuka. I have some lower back issues, but Claire and Trudy always managed to put me back together again. Their repertoire of exercises and adaptations to suit everyone’s abilities and needs are amazing. I have... moved overseas now but truly miss them.read more

Highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff working from beautiful studios in two convenient locations. The staff have worked closely with me to effectively manage pre-exisiting conditions and a pregnancy. They even reviewed my MRI results and tailored a program to build up my strength to... significantly reduce pain. Every week, my back is checked to tweak the program to what my body needs that day. Explanations are given as to why a certain exercise will help and what muscles it is targeting. My husband and I have been attending sessions with PilatesCan for more than ten years almost continuously. Our instructor, one of the owners, is outstanding. Her ability to identify even apparently minute issues in posture, movement and technique is unbelievable. I love the way Pilates focuses on every muscle and forces me to slow down and pay attention to every exercise. It has built my body awareness and core strength and has assisted me to become much better at all other forms of exercise such as running.  The teachers are relaxed and enthusiastic and I always feel as though they are focusing on my individual needs and pushing me to achieve a little bit more at each session.
